Digital technologies have the potential to transform our society for the better, but they also pose significant challenges and risks. How can we ensure that everyone has access to the benefits of digital technologies while minimizing the negative impacts on the environment and human rights? How can we promote a “just transition” that leaves no one behind?
Beyond mere access lies the true essence of digital inclusion - empowering all individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their abilities, to actively participate or navigate the digital world in the classroom, in the workplace or elsewhere.
Digital inclusion is a driving force for social justice and sustainable development, bridging crucial gaps and promoting equality not just for economy but for social capital as well. Some of the best practices and examples of digital inclusion include digital literacy programs, community networks and inclusive design. At @Colectivo, we have experts such as @Bobby and @Laura covering topics of inclusive tech and sustainable UX and UI design.
Some of our previous work in the field has also included skilling and reskilling unemployed communities across Europe, creating a learning experience for agile project management, and other core skills for jobless and young students to excel in the work field.
