A Collaborative, Project-Based Approach to Digital Transition

In today’s fast-paced digital world, organisations face the challenge of embracing new technology while staying connected to the communities they serve. At Colectivo, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside Progress Systems, Credit Unions, and their end-users on an innovative project that reimagines the digital banking experience for Credit Union members.

In many ways credit unions differ from banks and other financial institutions. They are not-for-profit, member-owned financial service organisations which have been serving the people of Ireland since 1958. Credit unions don’t have customers, they have members and throughout the island of Ireland, there are more than 3.6 million credit union members who benefit by saving together and lending to each other at a fair and reasonable rates of interest. - ILCU.

The collaborative approach brought together diverse perspectives, ensuring the needs of all stakeholders were documented and addressed. By mapping stakeholders early, engaging end-users in the design process, and adopting a lean innovation mindset, the project embodied the Credit Unions’ commitment to their communities.

This is a collaboration between Progress, Colectivo, our Credit Unions, and the end-users. That's quite a lot of people to pull together, to find a common thread. But it's worth doing, so that we come up with the best possible solution.Jan Hauer, Senior Stakeholder for Project Digital

At Colectivo, we believe that creating more inclusive solutions requires the involvement of diverse stakeholders. Project Digital is a shining example of how multi-stakeholder collaboration can drive sustainable digital transformation, fostering trust, inclusivity, and innovation along the way. What's more, it helps to advance the EU’s Triple Transition which envisions a future that is greener, more social, and more digital.
