The City of the Future: How to create sustainable spaces for People and the Planet 🏗️ 🌱

How can we make our cities more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive? How can we design and transform our urban spaces to cater to the needs of our people and the planet? What are the best practices and innovations that are happening around the world and how can we learn from them?

55% of the world's population lives in cities, consuming 75% of the world's energy and producing over 80% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions. This isn't sustainable.

At Colectivo, our built environment experts Letizia Caprile Ortíz and Juan Alcalde, work and teach in projects building resilient cities, and shifting mental models in architecture and design. Some of the key principles and strategies for designing and transforming cities for sustainability include urban planning, governance, circular economy thinking, mobility, waste management and community engagement.
