Kitchenetta: Kickstarting Sustainable Growth for a Culinary School

Kitchenetta Catering|  Hospitality & Gastronomy| Ireland

Context & Challenge

Kitchenetta, a small catering and events company in Ireland, approached Colectivo to explore sustainable growth opportunities. Founder Jenny Provan, recently returned to Ireland, was determined to root the business in local values and sustainability, with the ambitious goal of becoming Ireland’s most sustainable cookery school and a go-to destination for sustainable food tourism.

Colectivo’s Approach

Colectivo launched a thorough pilot project with Kitchenetta, which included:

  • Initial Diagnostic: This included a comprehensive impact assessment to identify ESG gaps and opportunities. This phase was delivered through data-driven platforms, regular working sessions and site visits to Kitchenetta’s land and properties.

  • Funding Landscape: The Colectivo team analysed potential grants, funding, and support programs for sustainable business growth, providing Jenny and her team with a menu of actionable financial opportunities.

  • Strategy Workshop: Finally, an interactive online strategy workshop helped align the Kitchenetta team on priorities, clarify vision, and co-create a roadmap. The session surfaced ideas and set concrete next steps for scaling up, always with sustainability at the core.

Focused Results

After delivery of the one-month sprint, Kitchenetta received:

  • Detailed impact diagnostics and recommendations for improvement

  • A tailored roadmap for next steps and funding opportunities

  • An action plan to develop a sustainable cookery school

  • An interactive impact dashboard to manage and track progress.

Testimonials

This has singularly been one of the most impactful and insightful exercises that Kitchenetta has ever done…The process was exceptionally considered and formed around my business, and it has really helped me approach my ongoing project with sustainable practices at its core. The strategy workshop was my favourite part of the whole process! Not only was it fun, but it encouraged me to think outside of my Kitchenetta box and take a deep dive into how, and why, I want the business to grow.
