  • B Corp™ certification is awarded to companies that meet verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It is issued by B Lab™, the nonprofit behind the B Corp movement. Certified B Corps are part of a global community of businesses committed to using business as a force for good.   • We guide organisations through the B Lab™ Standards — from understanding what's required, to closing gaps, building internal alignment, and preparing for the formal certification process. We work across all four phases: Discovery, Define, Develop, and Deliver. Our role is to make the process human, rigorous, and as straightforward as possible for your team.

  • Eligibility depends on a number of factors including your legal structure, the nature of your business activities, and your sector. Not every organisation will be eligible, and we will tell you honestly if certification isn't the right fit. Every engagement starts with a readiness and eligibility conversation.

  • The Discovery phase typically takes two to three months. Subsequent phases are scoped after Phase 1, once we have a clear picture of your starting point and the gaps to close. The full journey to certification varies significantly depending on your organisation's size, sector, and current maturity. We don't give fixed timelines until we know your situation.

  • Colectivo's fees are scoped after Phase 1, based on the complexity and scope of work involved. B Lab™ also charges its own certification fees separately — these are set by B Lab™ and vary based on your annual revenue. We will give you full visibility on both before you commit to anything.

  • B Lab™ updated its standards significantly in 2025, moving to a new framework known as V2.1. The new standards are more rigorous, more comprehensive, and are now independently audited by third-party assurance providers rather than by B Lab™ itself. If you are an existing B Corp, your recertification will be assessed against V2.1. We have deep fluency in the new standards across all seven impact topics.

  • Laura McDermott is a B Corp™ Consultant, trained by B Lab™, the nonprofit behind the B Corp movement. This means she has successfully completed B Lab's™ training programme and is part of the European B Corp Consultants community. It does not mean she works for or is employed by B Lab™.
