IBM España (in partnership with Fundación Puentes Global)| Education & Technology| Madrid, Spain
Context & Challenge
The demand for agile professionals has soared in recent years. Recognising this, IBM España, Fundación Puentes Global, and Colectivo collaborated to address the critical need for agile skills across Madrid’s unemployed residents. The challenge was to deliver a program accessible to a diverse audience, including unemployed individuals, active professionals, and final-year students, equipping them with foundational agile management skills applicable across industries.
Colectivo’s Approach
Colectivo co-designed and executed a comprehensive training program centered around the “Agile Explorer” course on IBM’s SkillsBuild platform.
Accessibility: The course was delivered asynchronously online, allowing participants to learn at their own pace, regardless of schedule.
Interactive Learning: Synchronous elements (webinars, presentations, forums, virtual tutorials) fostered engagement and community.
Inclusivity: No prerequisites beyond basic computer and internet literacy, ensuring open access for all.
By collaborating closely with Fundación Puentes Global, Colectivo tailored content and support for maximum effectiveness, guiding participants through agile principles and practical applications
Objectives & Learning Outcomes
Enhance Employability: For unemployed participants to become more attractive to employers, with improved confidence and skills.
Boosted Productivity: For active professionals to adopt a collaborative and “growth” mindset in their roles.
Career Readiness: For students to gain professional skills in a dynamic job market.
Project-Based Approach: For all participants to understand an agile, project-based approach to problem solving.
Testimonials
“Realmente una organización internacional, el hecho de que tengan profesionales de distintos orígenes establecidos en distintos países y traten cuestiones globales hace que el enfoque sea global no de una persona viéndolo desde un determinado entorno hacia el mundo sino verdaderamente de un enfoque mundial”
- Javier Miró, Puentes Global
